  • Article 1 These Regulations are Taipei City government in order to promote Hakka culture language learning matters, and prescribed pursuant to Article 10 of the Charges and Fees Act.
  • Article 2 The Competent Authority as referred to in the Regulations is the Hakka Affairs Commission, Taipei City Government (hereinafter referred to as the HAC).
  • Article 3 The paid courses and camps mentioned in the Regulations refer to: 1.Hakka language promotion study courses; 2.Hakka culture promotion study courses; 3.Hakka culture and language related camps; 4.Hakka culture promotion service courses; 5.Other cultural activity courses
  • Article 4 The service objects of the courses or the camps provided by the HAC include: 1.Citizens whose registered permanent residence is in Taipei City (hereinafter referred to as the City); 2.Personnel affiliated with any government organization, school, or other educational institution in the City; 3.Foreigners; and 4.Other people with approval from the HAC. 20% of enrollment for any of the courses or camps shall be preserved for mid-or-low-income family members and indigenous people who can apply for free.
  • Article 5 To participate in any of the courses provided by the HAC, one shall submit his application within the announced application period, such application shall be approved by the HAC, and the corresponding fee shall be paid in full. See the table in the appendix for the charges and charge standards for the above-mentioned courses
  • Article 6 The charges of the courses mentioned in the Regulations are cost prices only. Once registration has been completed and the corresponding charge paid in full, all registrants shall not be permitted to request a refund, for any reason whatsoever, except for force majeure or a cause attributable to the HAC. To apply for course transfer, one shall complete the transfer application procedure seven days before the course begins.
  • Article 7 Non first time applicants and applicants as a group (two or more applicants) shall get a 20% discount for their charge. Non first time applicants shall provide a course certificate or equal documentation which can prove the previous participation in a course offered by the HAC.
  • Article 8 The HAC shall determine the format respectively for the forms provided in these Regulations.
  • Article 9 The Regulations shall come into force on the date of their promulgation.
